The Grand Expressions traveling art exhibit launched on Monday March 2 and will continue until at least June 19. View water-themed artwork and read related stories at various locations in Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge!
Our first location, The Carolinian Cafe, is located at 5 Cayuga Street North in Cayuga (street parking is free). Until March 14, enjoy some wonderful farm-to-table meals and view the beautiful creations by youth artists of Music for the Spirit and Indigenous Arts (Six Nations of the Grand River)! Hours are Monday to Friday 8am-3pm, Wednesday additional hours from 5pm-8pm and Saturday from 9am-3pm. See the poster below for future locations.
We are excited to host a free opening reception from 6-8pm on March 24 at the Cambridge Centre for the Arts (60 Dickson Street, Cambridge). Join us to view the stunning water-themed artwork, read and listen to their stories, participate in community discussion about the Grand River or Lake Erie and enjoy an evening out with family and friends! There is free 2-hour parking at City Hall and no fee to access the exhibit or to attend the event. Please note: this is a family-friendly, no-alcohol event. RSVP via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/events/140468727253513/).

We thank the coordinators, artists and their families for joining us on March 2 to help with prepping and hanging the exhibit. A huge thank you to The Carolinian Cafe for hosting the exhibit and for offering to organize and do all the hanging themselves! Photos of some of the artworks are below.
